Red Kite Centre

RED KITE CENTRE 

Ideal for bird lovers to view Red kites, Buzzards and other birds of prey in their natural environment. Visitors may sit inside specially constructed hides in order to observe the birds competing for meat provided by the centre. An average of around 50 birds gather for this feeding, so it makes for quite the spectacle.

Devils Bridge

DEVIL'S BRIDGE  

Located just outside of Aberystwyth, the world famous devils bridge is a must. The bridge takes its name from a famous welsh myth about the devils first visit to Wales and his failed attempt at tricking an old woman. Three bridges are located at the site, in addition to beautiful waterfalls and scenes of natural beauty.

National Library of Wales

NATIONAL LIBRARY 

Holding the largest collection of books anywhere in Wales, the national Library is an awe inspiring experience for any avid book worm. Noteworthy pieces include the first book ever printed in welsh, published in 1546 and acquired by the library in 1908, in addition to numerous activities suited to both young and old.

Aberystwyth Cliff Railway

CLIFF RAILWAY 

Established in 1896, the cliff railway scales constitution hill, providing breath-taking views of the town below, Cardigan bay and on a clear day, 26 peaks spanning the length of Wales. Once at the summit visitors can relax and take in the view from the cafe. There is also a play area for those with children.

The West Wales coastal path is a wonderful way to observe some of the best natural landscape Wales has to offer. With several walks to choose from, both long and short, this is a fantastic way to spend a day rich in history and wildlife, from Iron Age forts, to dolphin sightings, there is something for everyone here. With free admission, there really is little reason not to visit.

Welcoming to both new comers at running veterans, the Aberystwyth park run is a friendly 5k run held every Saturday morning in the local park. As the event is timed by park run volunteer's, it is important to sign up before taking part in order to keep record of those who participate and their times.
