Car Parking Information for Gwesty'r Marine Hotel

Our hotel is located on Marine Terrace (SY23 2DA), while our car parks are situated on the back street called Queens Road.

We have two designated parking areas directly behind the hotel:

  • The main car park, directly behind the building with blue paintwork and black railings - direct access into the hotel from this area
  • Our yard at the end of Queens Road by the crossroads, with a stoned wall with Gwesty’r Marine Hotel signage - To get to the Reception, if you come out of the car park, turn left and walk along the road until you see the main car park

Both areas are accessed via the back road running parallel to the promenade. This road is two‑way and shared with several residential and student accommodation buildings. These neighbouring car parks are not operated by the hotel, and parking enforcement is managed by independent companies.

Using Our Car Parks

Our car parks are complimentary and operate on a first‑come, first‑served basis. It is provided as a gesture to enhance your stay, but due to the layout of the surrounding area can be confusing; we encourage guests to ensure they have parked in the correct location.

If you are unsure, please call our reception team on 01970 612444, and we will guide you to the correct car park or suggest alternative parking options.

SmartParking Validation

We work alongside SmartParking, who monitor our two car parks to ensure they are used only by hotel guests and visitors.

If you are staying with us or attending an event, you are welcome to use our car parks free of charge, but you must validate your full and correct number plate at reception on arrival.

If you experience any issues, please speak to a member of our reception team, and they will assist you.

Should you receive a fine from SmartParking after your stay or visit, and you can provide proof that you were a guest or event attendee, we can request that the fine be removed on your behalf.

EV Charging 

We have two EV Charging bays located at the rear car park, directly behind the hotel for your convenience. Please follow the instructions via the app to connect.
